As a longtime user and recommender of iomega hardware, I hope that I can work out something with Iomega to simply get the entire unit replaced or repaired, and not having to resort to 'McGyver' a customized NAS. Ofcourse, this will void any warranty issues for future problems. If you can not work this out with Iomega, and your devices is deemed as 'out of warranty'I recommend that you take the harddrive from the iomega(you can see it's internals here: ( ), and buy a seperate casing like this one:, place the drive from the iomega NAS in it and you have a replacement NAS device. Hello Pasha I'll keep it english, so andrew can follow the discussion, and moderate it: I'm just biting down on my warranties here, and the internal drive is probably fine, but the problem is with the casing, or actually, the electronics within the casing, the device's internal operating system fails to boot completely, if you unplug- and replug the drive, it might be 'shocked' into working again, for a short time however, over time this procedure will damage the unit.
